Hero Wars Guild Guide — How to Find the Right Guild and Maximize Rewards
If you're playing Hero Wars solo, you're leaving enormous amounts of resources on the table. Guild content isn't just a side feature — it's one of the primary reward systems in the game, and the best items in Hero Wars come from Guild activities. This guide covers everything you need to know to make guild play work for you.

Why Guild Matters So Much
Here's what you get from active guild participation:
- Daily Gold Donations — Guild members donate gold to each other. In an active guild this is thousands of extra gold per day for zero effort.
- Guild Coins — Earned from Guild War wins and spent in the Guild Shop on exclusive items including hero shards.
- Dungeon Rewards — The Guild Dungeon runs twice a week and drops excellent gear components and resources.
- Hydra Clan Boss Rewards — The Hydra is the most resource-rich content in the game. Only available through guild.
- Guild War Rewards — Compete against other guilds for ranking rewards and bonus Guild Coins.
An active guild vs. no guild is the difference between fast progression and slow, frustrating grinding.
How to Pick the Right Guild
Not all guilds are equal. Here's what to look for:
Activity Level
The single most important factor. A guild with 30 members who all do daily donations and Hydra is worth 10x more than a 30-member guild where half are inactive. Look at the donation history before joining — active guilds have recent timestamps from multiple members.
Hydra Participation
Ask if the guild runs Hydra regularly and at what difficulty level. Harder Hydra = better rewards. If a guild doesn't do Hydra or does it inconsistently, you're missing the best loot source in the game.
Guild War Record
Guild Wars give Guild Coins which fund your Guild Shop purchases. A guild that wins consistently gives you more coins per week. Check their recent war record.
Communication
The best guilds coordinate. They use Discord or in-game chat to organize Hydra timing and war strategies. If a guild has zero communication, coordination suffers.
Guild Dungeon — Don't Miss It
The Dungeon runs twice a week (typically Wednesday and Saturday, though this varies). Every member fights their own path through the dungeon, but it's cooperative — the guild collectively needs to defeat bosses to unlock deeper floors with better rewards.
Tips for Dungeon:
- Communicate with your guild about which paths to clear
- Save strong teams for the boss floors
- Never auto-skip Dungeon days — the rewards are too good
Hydra Clan Boss — The Core of Guild Rewards
The Hydra is a massive boss with multiple heads that your entire guild attacks together. Damage is tracked individually — you earn rewards based on your personal damage contribution AND the guild's total.
The Hydra has increasing difficulty levels (Normal, Hard, Heroic, Legendary). Higher difficulties give dramatically better rewards including top-tier gear and Skin Stones.
Building a Hydra team is a long-term goal. The key things to focus on:
- Poison/DoT effects — The Hydra is particularly vulnerable to sustained damage over time. Heroes that apply poison stacks (like Nebula's buffed team) do well.
- Debuff application — Decrease Defence and Weaken amplify your damage substantially.
- Sustainability — You need to survive long enough to maximize your damage window.
Guild War Strategy
Guild Wars pit your guild against another guild's defense teams. You attack with your heroes; they attack with theirs.
Key principles:
- Coordinate attack targets — Don't double up attacks on the same enemy team. Communicate which targets each member takes.
- Build a war-specific defense team — Your defense team should be different from your campaign or Arena team. Focus on sustainability and counter-pick potential.
- Use every attack — Unused attacks mean lost potential. Even weaker players should attack — partial victories count.
Guild Shop Priorities
Guild Coins are earned primarily through Guild War wins. Spend them wisely:
- Hero Shards for S-tier heroes — If Astaroth, Thea, or Keira shards are in the shop, buy them.
- Skin Stones — Skins provide real stat bonuses and Skin Stones let you upgrade them.
- Equipment components — Only if you specifically need them and they're not easily farmable elsewhere.
Guilds transform Hero Wars from a solo grinding game into something genuinely social and strategic. Find an active one early and stay committed — the rewards compound over time.
